We are seeking a Residential Project Manager I to join the Residential Operations team at GreenSpark Solar! In this role, you will effectively manage a high volume of small installations through the use of proactive communication and timely advancement of project milestones for all customers and stakeholders throughout all stages of a project's life cycle. This includes the design, permitting, procurement, construction and project closeout stages for all residential and assigned rooftop commercial solar systems, battery systems, and EV charger projects.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
This is a hybrid role. A typical work day runs 8-10 hours with time spent in the office, municipal offices and project sites on occasion. In the office you will work with all levels of staff. In general, we expect that 70% of your daily tasks will be defined and set in motion by specific project needs and other GreenSpark employees, leaving at least 30% of your time to generate near term value, innovate, and help to improve the community/world/planet in your own unique way.

We are seeking a Residential Project Manager I to join the Residential Operations team at GreenSpark Solar! In this role, you will effectively manage a high volume of small installations through the use of proactive communication and timely advancement of project milestones for all customers and stakeholders throughout all stages of a project's life cycle. This includes the design, permitting, procurement, construction and project closeout stages for all residential and assigned rooftop commercial solar systems, battery systems, and EV charger projects.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Assist in pre/post sale communications with the Salesperson to provide feedback before the contract is finalized;
- Participate in the new Sales handoff approval board to ensure pricing, permissibility and scheduling of the proposed installation are in compliance with forecast and expected revenue goals;
- Verify project costs and payment schedule, monitor positive cash flow of projected budget and ensure timely and accurate billing of milestones;
- Facilitate completion of contract addendums as necessary when related to post sale change orders outside of sales scope;
- Review designs with customer to ensure the project meets all desired requirements and GreenSpark quality standards for new designs, change orders and as-builts;
- Verify required documentation in the new sales folders and sales orders to include contract and pricing tools, and review all site survey details and solar production estimates for accuracy with the proposal and pricing tool;
- Create and implement project development timelines in line with GreenSpark’s desired project backlog;
- Complete the timely submission of all related and required permits, grants, and approvals at design completion and manage all communication with public officials, as needed;
- R espond to all project lifecycle customer needs and concerns in a timely manner;
- Maintain an uninterrupted residential installation schedule to maximize crew capacity using the ability to prioritize future jobs based on a variety of factors including contract date, procurement availability, customer needs, electrician’s availability, etc.;
- Facilitate close out of all jobs to include triggering invoicing, completion of electrical and building permit requirements, and hand offs to the Operations and Maintenance team;
- Flex schedule to attend all required public hearings in the permit and review process as needed - these typically fall outside of the regular business hours;
- Be proficient in managing SalesForce related quality control;
- Document all communications in salesforce, and coordinate the flow of information and data from sales team to operations staff and subcontractors, while working in collaboration with the Field Crew Manager and Customer Service team to provide Quality Assurance and Quality Control mechanisms and active feedback loops;
- Create, implement, and continuously improve and manage communication templates and processes to ensure customers understand and are engaged in their project to instill lasting pride of ownership throughout the duration of the solar installation from the time of a signed contract until the final interconnection;
- Participate in Workforce Development engagement opportunities as appropriate;
- Act as the first point of contact with Customer Care issues during the development timeline and provide customer experience feedback to the O and M team to prepare for future customer interactions.
- High School Diploma or GED Required; Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of alternative energy industry
- Valid Driver’s License; some travel required
- Strong attention to detail and high level of time management and organization
- Ability to communicate effectively with partners at all levels both in writing and orally
- Ability to act as a leader and a team player - collaborate and work well with others
- Ability to manage time effectively and be focused on setting and executing clear objectives and priorities for yourself
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excel, Salesforce, MS Word experience required
