What are the responsibilities and job description for the Locum NP/PA - Cardiovascular position at Greenstaff Medical?
Our client in Cumberland County, ME is in need of a Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant for a locum assignment!
Job details:
- Start - ASAP
- Length of coverage: 3-6 months
- The candidate will work four 10-12 hour days per week if assigned to the OR and three 12-13 hour shifts if assigned to the ICU.
- The ICU does include overnights in house.
- The provider will have a 1 in 4 or 5 weekend responsibility. (On call from 6p Friday to 6a Monday)
- Surgical call responsibility: 1-2 week days per week from 6P-6A.
- Provider must be able to act independently in the OR, harvest veins, and operate in a high acuity ICU setting
- Volume of Cardiac Surgery Division: 7 adult surgeons and 32 APPs; 1,600 pump cases are handled per year; Perform all cardiac surgery procedures except transplant
- Candidate working at one/multiple locations/settings: one location only
- Number of residents/fellows: None

- Credentialing Estimate: Immediately and would push for emergency credentials
Job Requirements:
- Board Certified (Must have Acute Care Certification) - REQUIRED
- Active ME License or Active IMLC - REQUIRED
- Covid and flu vaccine - REQUIRED to note at time of name clear
- Must be able to operate and harvest vein - REQUIRED, please note at time of name clear
- Can work independently in a high acuity ICU setting - REQUIRED, please note at time of name clear
