What are the responsibilities and job description for the PSYCHIATRIC - MENTAL HEALTH PHYSICIAN position at Greenstaff Physician & Provider Solutions?

Schedule :

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Provider will round in the morning, and every third day they will take a turn managing all hospital calls / consults, etc. (during shift hours)
NO CALL on evenings or weekends - only during regular business hours
The need is for 2-3 weeks per month

Job Description :

Candidates must be Board Certified in Psychiatry (Will not accept BE)

Experience in treating patients ages 6 and up is preferred

Inpatient Psych (adult unit and adolescent unit), Hospital Consults, ER Consults NOT OPEN TO TELEHEALTH

Average Number of Patients Per Day : 5-12

Total Number of Beds : 18 adults, 5 adolescents

How Many Psychiatrists in Your Group? 1 part-time inpatient right now

How Many Advanced Practice Providers Support Your Group? 2

How Many Psychologists? Zero, inpatient

Documentation System / EMR : Cerner

Trauma Level / Designation III

Referral / Transfer Protocol : University of Iowa, 40 minutes by car

Safety / Security Measures in Place : security on each campus

Required Treatment Disorders : Anxiety Disorders, Affective Disorders, ADD / ADHD, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Organic Disorders

Required to have familiarity with Family Therapy, Restraint Application, Group Therapy, Pharmacotherapy, Seclusion therapy, Voluntary Commitments, ER
