Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Clerical Data Entry Clerk I to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to accurately enter and maintain data within our systems. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our administrative functions and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Accurately input, update, and maintain data in various databases and systems (Excel and Smartsheets or Googlesheets). - Review and verify documents for completeness and accuracy before data entry.
- Respond to data inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of tasks performed.
- Assist in generating reports and summaries based on inputted data.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate seamless data exchange and accuracy.
- Perform routine clerical duties including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.
- Assist in training new team members on data entry processes and systems.
- Support the team with additional administrative tasks as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or relevant coursework preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data entry or clerical work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry software.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with database management systems is a plus.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to sit for extended periods while performing data entry tasks.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds of office supplies and materials.
