You'll be supported by experienced ministry leaders and have the freedom to develop and implement a vision for the ministry that aligns with a commitment to disciple-making and community engagement. Position Overview: The Student Ministries Pastor will lead and oversee the vision, mission, and strategy implementation for the middle and high school ministries (grades 6-12), emphasizing outreach, character development, and discipleship. This includes strategic leadership, curriculum curation and development, volunteer training, event planning, and pastoral care responsibilities. The Student Ministries Pastor will also have the opportunity to preach in the Sunday Service and contribute to the broader pastoral care of the church. This position reports directly to the NextGen Director and will supervise the Associate Student Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus as the foundation of your ministry.
- Develop a clear vision and strategy for the student ministry to effectively reach and disciple students in the Noblesville area.
- Lead, direct, and care for student ministry staff and volunteers.
- Clearly and creatively teach the Bible, engaging students to progress in their faith.
- Plan and facilitate large events, retreats, mission trips, and outreach activities.
- Provide safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environments for student discipleship.
- Equip and partner with parents to nurture spiritual growth at home.
- Regularly attend students' extracurricular activities to foster relational connections.
- Manage and steward the student ministry budget effectively.
- Develop and oversee impactful teaching series and curriculum.
- Empower and manage volunteer leaders through training, regular communication, and collaborative planning.
- Collaborate with Kids and NextGen teams to ensure smooth ministry transitions and cohesive discipleship processes.
- Preach as needed as part of the Sunday morning Teaching Team.
- Act as a member of White River Christian Church’s pastoral staff, performing duties such as baptisms, weddings, funerals, pastoral care, and hospital visitations.
- Support other church ministry projects as needed, collaborating willingly with the White River Christian Church staff and leadership.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Bible/Ministry, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience leading students in a ministry/church setting
- Proven ability to teach God’s Word effectively to middle and high school students
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Alignment with WRCC’s doctrinal beliefs
- Meets the requirements of 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9
- Demonstrated humility, relational skills, and a collaborative leadership style
- Demonstrated relationship with Jesus; displaying a life of faith in Jesus, professional maturity, high character, and exhibits the Fruits of the Spirit
Pay and Benefits:
