Position Overview
Greenville Savings Bank has an opening for a Part-Time Teller. This position may require 20-30 hours per week and the candidate should be willing to work flexible hours Monday – Friday at any of our three offices but primarily at our Hermitage Office location. At Greenville Savings Bank, we pride ourselves on continuing our tradition of providing hometown banking since 1911. Our mission is to offer an alternative to the “big bank” environment. As a Part Time Teller within GSB’s organization, you will provide exceptional customer service, accurately perform customer transactions while building strong customer relationships.
The position has the potential for full-time opportunities after a 90-day probation period.
Job Description
Process basic financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, night deposits, mail, and currency transaction reports. Maintains accurate daily transactions and balances to them researching any outages. Tellers are responsible for balancing a drawer accurately and timely without assistance. Possess basic clerical and computer processing skills with cash handling experience. Strong customer service skills with attention to detail as well as strong verbal communication skills. May perform various operational duties such as balancing the ATM, ordering office supplies, preparing Reg CC Holds, completing captured card log forms, etc.
Primary responsibilities
Provide friendly, prompt, efficient service to customers. Accurately perform transactions as well as display thorough knowledge of bank products and services. Enforce established bank policies and procedures. A list of the daily duties includes but is not limited to the following:
· Processing deposits, withdrawals and loan payments
· Cashing checks & verifying check endorsements
· Verifying cash in and cash out of teller drawer
· Balance daily within acceptable guidelines
· Accurate scanning of negotiable instruments
· Resolving customer issues and concerns
· Provide customer support by answering customer telephone inquiries
· Perform closing duties
· Perform and adhere to all Bank regulations
· Perform additional duties as needed
