General Responsibilities
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the WLD-Welding department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
Minimum Qualifications
A High School diploma/GED; be a current welding student that is either enrolled in or has completed the following classes: Welding102 (Introduction to welding) Welding 103 (Print reading 1); Welding 108 (Gas metal arc welding 1) Welding 111 (Arc welding 1) Welding 132 (Inert gas welding ferrous) or 2 full time years of verifiable work experience in the welding field operating the cutting torches, reading the prints, performing basic stick, mig and tig welding or possess a current welder certification card. Good understanding -skills with oxy-fuel cutting torches and safety knowledge of hand power tools.
Preferred Qualifications
A team player. Willingness to work with co-workers and supervisors. Ability to lift 50 pounds.

General Responsibilities
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the WLD-Welding department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
- Assist the welding instructor with students in the welding lab and classroom
- Enforce all school policies and safety rules
- Maintain an ample supply of weld metals for the students
- Fill the rod oven on a daily basis with proper electrodes
- Perform minor repair work on side grinders
- Check the gas storage cylinders and replenish with full cylinders as needed
- Perform other duties which can vary and change daily as requested by supervisor
