GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the BIO-Biological Sciences department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
- Teach lectures and laboratories in Anatomy and Physiology and related courses offered by the Biological Sciences department.
- Prepare lectures/syllabi/tests; update/revise curriculum
- Grade/assess student work
- Develop/implement new classroom strategies
- Consult with students
- Advise on academic progress
- Serve on department, school, and college committees
- Maintain competence through continuous professional development
- Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Doctorate or a Master's degree with a major in Biological Sciences or a Doctorate or Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Biological Sciences
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Competence with basic computer skills and programs, such as, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Learning Management Systems • Ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and adhere to departmental guidelines and policies • Ability to work with colleagues/students and to convey knowledge in a form that students can understand • Adaptable to student's needs, to different teaching situations, and the ability to motivate students • Able to work in teams and independently • Knowledge and skills in the procedural aspects of general education and university transfer operations as they exist today • Previous teaching experience • Active license in field if holding a professional degree
