GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In this challenging role, you will be supporting the DHM-Diesel Equipment Tech department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
- Maintain ASE Master MD/HD Truck Technician certification.
- Complete annual GTC/ASE required professional development training.
- Maintain current OEM training as it applies to the diesel curriculum.
- Develop and teach diesel technology curricula courses.
- Demonstrate OEM lab techniques and provide assistance to students in the performance of curriculum-based student
- Maintain OSHA safety standards to all diesel laboratory exercises.
- Assist in curriculum development and revisions aligning with the industry.
- Prepare and present classroom, digital e-learning and hands on material, at a pace that will foster student success.
- Participate in recruitment activities, and academically advise students.
- Meet deadlines for record keeping and maintain scheduled office hours.
- Follow guidelines set forth in the faculty manual.
- Organizational skills.
- Professional vocabulary for a diverse audience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED. Four (4) years of documented diesel/heavy equipment experience. ASE certifications T1 thru T8 or working towards Master MD/HD Truck Certifications. (Must be completed within one year of hiring). Must have manufacturer certifications in the diesel/heavy equipment industry. Must be competent with computers, software, programs and files.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma/degree and ten (10) years of related work experience. *Master ASE Master MD/HD Truck Certification. A certificate with a major in diesel equipment technology and demonstrated competencies in the diesel equipment field.
