Construction Representative I / II
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Engineer III
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs construction site inspections, observe contractors' means and methods on Greenville Water projects, reviews contractor submittals for compliance with contract documents, provides feedback on engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with system requirements, provides written daily inspection reports, attends monthly progress meetings with contractors and engineers, reviews quantities in applications for payment as submitted by contractor, provides project manager with updates relating to project schedule and progress, maintains submittal/RFI logs; and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Construction Representative I:
A High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by some college coursework or trade school and minimum six (6) years of experience in the construction industry is required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license.
Construction Representative II:
An associates degree in engineering or construction related fields and minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the construction industry is required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license.
