Greenway Dodge - Staff Accountant

Greenway Automotive is looking for a Staff Accountant/Specialist.

This position maintains proper accounting records by accurately and efficiently computing, classifying, preparing, recording, and verifying financial data. Reports to Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Bank reconciliation and Amex
• Cash management
• Accounts payable, create reports and other records, and review for accuracy
• Biller management and back up billing
• Positive Pay
• Dealer trades
• Floorplan payoffs and flooring units
• Vendor tracking and invoice reconciliation as needed
• Review check request support for proper approval and general ledger coding
• Verify and post all daily activity
• Monitor to ensure payments and charges are processed timely and kept current
• Run, review, balance and interpret reports daily and at month end
• Reconcile report discrepancies and research problems
• Input and reconcile general ledger account as assigned by Assistant Controller/ Controller

Qualifications:

• Automotive experience, preferred
• Accounting Degree, preferred
• One year accounting/office manager experience
• Exceptional written & oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Computer experience with Word, Excel and CDK
