What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roll Off Driver position at Greenway Dumpsters?
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Roll-Off Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a Greenway Dumpsters truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers who reside/work at a designated stop.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete daily dumpster deliveries, removals and disposals for Greenway Dumpsters Customers as designated by daily route sheets. In addition to the daily work load, all Greenway drivers are responsible for performing complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
- Safely operate his or her truck along his or her assigned stops and to the correct disposal site; read a map and service each customer as assigned by the dispatcher and/or manager.
- Operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with and procedures to lift and load roll off style dumpsters, and dump collected material at the designated facility.
- Excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills.
- Interact with all customers, dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all customer routes are serviced in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally fit at all times to minimize down time; clean waste from the cab daily.
- Complete required route/log sheets and other reports, as required.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned, including routine truck maintenance activities such as but not limited to fluid changes.
- Time management skills to ensure responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including but not limited to: sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing and lifting).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Class B Commercial Driver’s license with experience
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have at least a valid Class B CDL.
- Must have a valid DOT medical card or able to obtain prior to hire.
