Solar Journeyman Electrician

Greenway Solar Services is looking to add a Journeyman Electrician for the upcoming season as we continue our mission of being a leader in energy management in the Midwest. We’re seeking capable leaders to work alongside solar installers and mentor apprentice electricians on both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service with high standards of quality and professionalism, and a genuine passion for clean energy solutions.

Responsibilities 

• As a Journeyman electrician, you will be expected to maintain your Journeyman Electrician license with the state of Minnesota, including all Continuing Education requirements and any other necessary items. 
• Assist Master electrician with equipment selection and in preparing electrical schematics and equipment list in compliance with the National Electric Code and Utility Standards. 
• Provide leadership and mentoring; on the job training for Greenway Solar apprentices. 
• Clearly communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, general contractors, clients and internal teams. 
• Set expectations for each installation, including safety and code requirements. 
• Ensure jobs are properly executed. 
• Monitor performance of installers and advise them on how to improve. 
• Analyze and control job expenses to meet budget requirements. 
• Knowledgeable on all company policies and guarantees. 

Qualification

• MN Class A Journeyman License  
• Read and interpret blueprints and the NEC. 
• Time management, leadership, and organizational skills. 
• Good presentation skills; able to convey confident and decisive messages. 
• Passionate about our company and desire to grow. 
• Detail oriented and highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities. 
• Solar experience strongly preferred. 
• NABCEP certification a plus, but not required. 
• Multitasker who enjoys working in the field with diverse teams on varied projects. 
• Experience working with customer service. 
• Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment. 
• Ability to handle and manage change effectively and efficiently. 
• Positive attitude and team player. 

Additional Requirements 

• Must be authorized to work in the USA. No third parties, please. Greenway is an equal opportunity employer. 
• Able to travel to job sites in Minnesota and regionally; occasional overnight travel may also be required. 
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel. 
• Willing to work overtime and outdoors in inclement weather. 
• Work at height (roofs, ladders, etc.) and in confined spaces as needed. 

Salary : $42 - $55
