Greenwich Commodities LLC is an energy trading firm within wholesale competitive electricity markets across the United States, with offices in Metro Detroit and Metro Denver. We are seeking a full-time Quantitative Analyst to enhance our trading team's analytical capacities in trading, pricing, and valuation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quantitative analysis, technology, and data analytics. The individual selected for this role will report directly to the head of our trading team.
Salary: The total compensation package ranges from $70,000 to $120,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and analyze extensive electricity market data.
- Develop and calibrate fundamental supply and demand models for power and natural gas markets.
- Collaborate with our analytical team on the pricing and risk models for power, natural gas products, congestion contracts, and other associated financial products.
- Utilize analytical expertise, quantitative skills, and programming knowledge to uncover and report on new trading opportunities.
- Work closely with the energy trading team.
Qualifications:
- MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related STEM fields, with a strong background in modeling, research, and quantitative analysis.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in:
Energy market analysis using simulation tools, or Handling large-scale data via Python/MS SQL/.Net.
- Candidates lacking the specified work experience should have distinguished academic accomplishments in electrical engineering, math, statistics, or economics.
- A team-oriented mindset, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and excellent communication skills.
