Greenwich Hospitality Group, Connecticut's leading hospitality group operating boutique-style hotels and restaurants, is seeking a RESTAURANT CAPTAIN to join the FOH team at their newest waterfront restaurant & property – set to open in early 2025!
ABOUT LA PLAGE
La Plage Mystic is a waterfront restaurant & oyster bar showcasing New England-inspired coastal cuisine, focused on locally harvested seafood and shellfish, garden fresh produce and sustainable meats. Our beverage program features innovative and seasonal cocktails and American & European wines and & spirits. Mystic has earned a reputation as a "foodie destination" thanks to its idyllic coastal setting and easy access to in New England, which makes for an ideal location.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Captain to join our hospitality team. The Captain will work with the management team to deliver an exceptional guest dining experience. He/she is responsible for overseeing the floor as well as private events to ensure flawless steps of service. The Captain is also responsible for supervising staff and opening/closing duties.
The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years’ front of house experience in a casual/fine dining setting; management experience is preferred. He/she must be well versed in food and beverage, with the confidence to offer guidance in the selection of menu items. Wine experience is a plus.
He/she is customer-service driven and can both anticipate and react to guests’ needs. He/she has a proven ability to lead and inspire team members to always take the guest dining experience to the highest level. Strong communication skills are a must.
