La Plage Restaurant & Oyster Bar at the Delamar Mystic is seeking a passionate and innovative Pastry Sous Chef to assist the Executive Pastry Chef in running the restaurant’s daily pastry operations. The Pastry Sous Chef will assist with production and daily service of the pastry department for both a la carte service and special events.
The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years’ experience in an upscale dining setting. He/she has a genuine passion for scratch baking with fresh ingredients and producing a variety of delicious and beautiful desserts (sweet and savory), pastries baked breakfast goods and ice cream. Experience with laminated doughs and breads is a plus. A pastry/culinary degree is preferred.
This is a full-time position with very competitive salary starting at $65,000 based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
