Position Summary
The Child Psychologist provides neuropsychological/developmental testing and assessment for child and adolescent patients presenting for neurodevelopmental conditions and developmental delays and supports their clinical care.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive developmental testing and neuropsychological evaluations to screen for neurodevelopment conditions and developmental delays in child/adolescent patients, including but not limited to ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and speech and language delays.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and modalities such as CDI, PEDS, M-CHAT, ADI-R, and ADOS-2.
- Diagnose neurodevelopment conditions and developmental delays in child/adolescent patients, including but not limited to ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, and speech and language delays.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Health Record system.
- Maintains knowledge of all state and federal regulations and accreditation standards as well as program policies and procedures, including confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
- Performs all other duties as required by their assigned supervisor.
- Promote a positive and constructive clinic atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinic psychology, preferably pediatric psychology.
- Current New York State psychology license.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise with evidence-based assessment of children and adolescents.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership traits (e.g., decision making ability, skills in problem solving and communication, and effective team collaboration).
Vaccination Requirement
