Summary
Greenwich Preschool is looking for a teacher for our morning three-year-old class. Hours are mornings from 8 : 30AM - 12 : 30PM during the school year (Sept.-May). We are looking for a positive, patient, Christian professional who wants to help guide children's social, academic, and spiritual growth. Teaching experience and Associate's degree or higher are required.
Duties
Develop relationships of mutual trust and create partnerships with the families and children. Communicate with parents regarding their child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Prepare, update, and send regular communications to parents via email, paper, phone, etc.
Base program practices upon current knowledge and research in the field of early childhood education and related disciplines, as well as on the growth and development of each child.
Guide the implementation of a Christian preschool curriculum consistent with the mission of the church.
Prep materials required for daily curriculum.
Create and maintain a safe and healthy environment to foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Maintain communication and planning with church ministry coordinators to provide ease of shared use of the facility and equipment.
Requirements
1.Experience in teaching private or public school or volunteer positions in Sunday school or other children's ministries. Associate's degree or higher desired.
2.Ability to organize early childhood curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practice and Christian guidelines.
3.Strong relational and communication skills. Will maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and knowledge of children and families.
4. Sincere conviction to promote Christian growth in preschool-age children.
5.Successful completion of required background checks and Greenwich Presbyterian Child Protection Policy training.
