Qualifications: Educational Specialist Degree and a minimum of five years of building level administrative experience in PK-6.
Job Summary: Provide leadership in the development, implementation and administration of a progressive PK-6 educational program.
Supervision: Directly responsible to the Superintendent
Responsibilities
- Assist the district in effectively coordinating the district’s PK-6 educational programs.
- Assist in the development of school improvement goals, school budgets, staffing and building management.
- Collaborate with district administration to ensure a consistent PK-12 flow of educational experiences.
- Provide support to PK-6 teachers, administrators, instructional facilitators through the implementation of State Standards and Arkansas Teaching, Learning & Assessment System (ATLAS).
- Maintain a close working relationship with building administrators to ensure information exchange, coordination of efforts, and general support for the decision-making process.
- Assist in developing strategies and interventions to improve the overall instructional program.
- Analyze data at all levels and make recommendations for program improvement and system effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations that impact the PK-6 programs.
- Collaborate with appropriate staff to coordinate necessary support, services and interventions to ensure student success.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluations of staff development activities.
- Oversee mentoring process of novice teachers and building level administrators in PK-6.
- Coordinate a wide variety of activities. Examples include: Recognition programs, special events, community partnerships, media relations, and parent communications.
- Solicit feedback through formal and informal activities in order to advance district goals.
- Maintain positive relations with students, parents, teachers, administrators, school board, and the community.
