TITLE: Lunch Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Support Operations
JOB TYPE: 10 Month, Part-Time
REPORTS TO: Director of Support Operations
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday (10:30am-1:30pm)
WORK LOCATION: South Campus (Periodic North Campus)
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Major responsibility of this position is to coordinate, plan, and participate in the operations of the school food service program and serve as a backup to the front desk.
QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS: The employee is a Christian with an authentic and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ in both their professional and personal life with a calling and commitment to Christian education.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma is required. Additionally, proficiency in electronic office products (i.e. Microsoft, Google, etc.) are required along with competent telephone proficiency, working knowledge of general office equipment, and extensive written/verbal communication. Experience with scheduling software is a plus.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages FACTS lunches website and contact for all questions and concerns about use
- Post Menus
- Orders food from vendors based on information gathered from FACTS lunches.
- Order Milk from Prairie Farms
- Recruit and manage lunch volunteers
- Arrange for lunch substitutes when needed
- Prepares and serves lunches for all lunch periods
- Cleans lunch room, microwaves and preparation area daily
- Cover front desk for lunch break
- Additional duties assigned as needed by Director of Support Operations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Position requires prolonged standing and sitting, bending, stooping and stretching. Position requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Position requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Position requires occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Employee works in a typical school setting. The employee must be able to multitask, as students frequently need attention during a typical school day.
