Under supervision of licensed personnel, the Patient Care Tech will perform a variety of functions in support and care of patients requiring care GI or Pulmonary procedures in the Endoscopy Lab. Under the delegation of a Registered Nurse / Providers the Patient Care Tech performs specific assigned duties in providing patient care in accordance with established SRH, Endoscopy and Nursing Services Policy / Procedure / Protocols and Standards of Care; assists in maintaining supplies and repairs and safely operating work related equipment. Communicates findings as indicated to appropriate person(s). Serves as a resource person for other SRH team members to resolve work related / patient care issues. Performs any other job-related duties as requested by Department Director, Endoscopy Supervisor, or Charge / Lead Nurse.
S.C Nurse Aide Certification OR passed fundamentals in RN / LPN school OR completed Surg Tech or EMT course OR completed 2-year Health Science Technology Program OR completed Patient Care Tech course OR successfully completed the SRH PCT program, OR Graduate of an accredited nursing assistant program, certification eligible. Must achieve certification within 3 months of hire.
