Patient transports average around 10 minutes. The longest transport we have is usually no longer than 30 mins. Greenwood EMS transports patients to one hospital as a rule. Our EMS service does very few Inter-facility Transfers. The area has two full-time private services. Greenwood EMS is a backup for those providers. By transporting to only one hospital, our staff have built a good working relationship with the Emergency Room staff.
