- Oversee daily production operations to ensure volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are met.
- Follow the production schedule and forecast to manage staffing resources, set shift production goals, motivate staff, and supervise employees.
- Monitor production processes for maximum efficiency and work with other members of management to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Ensure employees receive adequate safety and job-specific training to safely and efficiently perform their duties.
- Maintain a safe production environment, correcting or addressing any unsafe conditions or safety violations in a timely manner.
- Ensure conformance to quality standards and participate in corrective actions arising from nonconformances.
- Manage production-relevant KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Coodinate equipment repairs, upgrades, and maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Pursue cost control and budget planning activities, identifying and implementing process and cost improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service to adjust production levels due to changes in demand and available resources.
- Regularly review performance, provide feedback, and support employees within your department.
- Ecnure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability programs.
- Collaborate with human resources on staffing needs and personnel concerns.
- Adequate documentation and record-keeping of production activities, personnel management, and safety procedures.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing
