GreenWood, Inc. is currently looking for an Electrical Technician III who is interested in a Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt position at the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. Employees normally work Monday through Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm, 40 hours per week. We are currently looking for an applicant who is interested in a position without the need to travel. GreenWood does not offer per diem at this job site.
The Electrical Technicians will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

Position Responsibilities - Essential
- Performs both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment
- Performs Preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Replaces lamps and ballasts
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot failures and work in a team environment to determine root cause of failure
- Participates in plant shift meeting and continuous improvement activities
- Utilizes SAP system to manage work orders and review work history
- Maintains area housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace
- Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
- Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety-sensitive” position.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 3 years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair
- Basic operation of 3-phase AC power including function and operation of fuses and circuit breakers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High motivated, disciplined problems-solver / Troubleshooter
- Strong ethics and ability to work in team environment
- PLC and variable frequency drive experience including troubleshooting.
- Experienced, preferably by formal training, in principles and standards for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment operations
- Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
- Greater than 3 years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and basic electrical repair preferred
- Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts preferred
