Job Description
The Electrical/Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of electrical components, apparatus, systems, facilities, and related electronic controls of varying design or complexity. He/she troubleshoots and repairs the electrical systems of the organization and should have experience in the manufacturing industry or maintenance environment and an understanding of electrical processes.
In addition, the Electrical Maintenance Technician is expected to perform mechanical repairs. Multicraft experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Uses skills and abilities to identify faulty equipment and the parts and equipment needed to complete repairs
- Installs/repairs control and distribution mechanisms such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels as well as conduit and wire
- Tests continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components
- Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems
- Uses appropriate tools, such as multi meter, ampere meter, hand and power tools, etc.
- Performs electrical problem solving and assists with all aspects of electrical troubleshooting
- Repairs critical equipment, performs preventive and predictive maintenance, and completes projects such as electrical hardware upgrades
- Repairs or replaces control devices such as photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc., as needed
- Communicates accurately, concisely, and professionally with customers and team members about repair steps taken, parts ordered, and time estimated until completion
- Participates in team meetings, prioritizing and reviewing work orders to schedule daily work
- Acquires new electrical knowledge to prepare for future assignments and responsibilities
- Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after all processes
- Performs other duties as assigned
- At least two years of combined training and experience as an industrial electrician or in electrical work
- Able to clearly express core electrical principles
- Able to troubleshoot industrial electrical issues in a timely manner
- Able to express basic electronic principles used in electrical maintenance technician work assignments
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and/or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge is preferred
- Highly-disciplined, problem-solving, logical-thinking, troubleshooting team player with a strong work ethic and exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation(s); ability to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 50 lbs
