We are a growing tax accounting firm in DTC area seeking a Payroll manager with 5 years of experience. We provide tax, accounting, payroll and consulting services to small and medium sized businesses. We serve clients in a variety of industries including healthcare, real estate, retail and many others. Our firm is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented payroll manager. The ideal candidate will become an important and productive member of our team.
As a payroll manager, you will prepare and review a variety of payroll for many companies, run client meetings and foster relationships, effectively manage a team of other tax professionals, and lead business development efforts.
Typical Duties:
Prepare and/or review of moderate and complex payroll accounts, including multi-state and client tax planning
Prepare and/or review of payroll tax returns
Provide leadership and guidance to other professionals in the office
Serve clients with a high level of competence and build lasting relationships
Expand technical and professional knowledge through more significant exposure to new client situations, regular self-study, and formal training opportunities.
Our professionals typically work 40 hours a week during non-busy season, and 55-60 hours a week during busy season. The office has been closed on Sundays.
Qualifications Required:
5 years of payroll experience preparing complex returns for those companies.
Excel at engagement management and operational excellence, developing standards in these areas for the firm.
Demonstrate personal productivity and maintain high levels of utilization and region profitability by supporting multiple industry and service areas when not working in their respective major areas.
Payroll certification
Exhibit strong people management and team building skills. Highly personable
Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate complex payroll regulations
High level of integrity, leadership and professionalism
Benefits:
Starting salary between $75,000- $95,000
