Job Description:
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the core IT infrastructure of the company. You will oversee systems performance, user management, cybersecurity, and ensure secure, efficient, and scalable IT operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting internal teams by optimizing platforms, implementing new technologies, and maintaining system integrity across the organization.
Core Responsibilities:
1. System Administration and Network Management
- Administer and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud systems, endpoints, and network services.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies across various platforms, including Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Ensure network security through the implementation of firewall policies, VPN configurations, and endpoint protection protocols.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues with minimal downtime.
- Develop and enforce best practices for IT security and data protection in compliance with relevant policies and laws.
2. IT Operations and Support
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring timely setup and secure deactivation of user access.
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support and resolve escalated hardware/software issues across devices and platforms.
- Maintain and optimize cloud-based systems (Microsoft 365, Azure, and other third-party platforms).
- Oversee regular updates, patches, and backups to protect business-critical data.
3.Asset and Vendor Management
- Track and manage company-owned IT assets, including computers, mobile devices, and networking equipment.
- Coordinate shipping, setup, and return of devices for remote team members.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with software/hardware vendors and service providers.
- Oversee IT budgeting and procurement, including software licensing and service contracts.
4.IT Strategy and Innovation
- Identify opportunities for system automation and efficiency improvements.
- Research and recommend new tools, systems, and practices to support the company’s growth and technical needs.
- Lead or support special IT projects, including migrations, new system rollouts, or integrations with other platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in system administration, IT infrastructure, or related technical support roles.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365, Windows environments, and remote access solutions.
- Strong knowledge of system security, firewalls, network protocols, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud administration (e.g., Azure, AWS).
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell).
- Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Experience with remote team support and distributed system setups.
