The Quality Supervisor also ensures that all work is completed according to safety and security guidelines, with attention to hazardous materials, lift truck safety and those mandated by governing entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads and directs quality employees
- Spends approximately 85% of the time on the production floor with team members, building relationships, coaching, teaching, developing, and providing performance feedback.
- Assign daily tasks as appropriate based on individual team member skills.
- Maximize efficiency using RF guns in all areas (where appropriate).
- Ensure quality audits are accurate and complete.
- Monitor Part Inventory Control and employee's productivity and adjust as needed.
- Respond to and resolve quality complaints
- Assist with rework task and projects (US30, US35, US36, and other areas)
- Hold team accountable for attendance and performance
- Conduct interviews to hire for open positions
- Maintain clear communication with Human Resources on projected openings, employee challenges, or policy violations.
- Operating and Training of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) equipment (Forklift, Pallet Jacks, and other PIT)
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
- Requires a minimum of 3 years' supervising experience in an operations environment.
- Experience in reconditioning is a plus
- Strong technical skills needed
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must be able to lead and manage others, while promoting a teamwork environment.
- Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proactive in anticipating and alerting others to problems with projects or processes.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, willingness to develop and learn new skills.
- PIT operation knowledge
- Takes initiative and needs little supervision.
- Ability to maintain a fast-paced environment and challenging workload.
- Accomplished contributor with cross-functional team environments.
- Computer literate particularly with Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Able to travel to other locations to conduct quality rework task.
- 40% of travel expectations
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
