Position Summary : The Shipping Lead is an elevated role within the department that will assist the supervisor maintain a positive work environment while following shipping procedures and process. This position must have excellent attendance, eye for detail, computer knowledge, and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work flow.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to :
- Coordinates shipping activities including labor assignments, building outbound pallets, verifications of loads, placement of product, inventory control.
- Monitor workflow. Release order waves to keep pickers picking throughout the entire shift.
- Maintain visibility of AGV system to ensure continuous flow of orders.
- Monitor and retain all action items and deliverables.
- Participate in management meetings and develop key takeaways, action items and deliverables.
- Work closely to support the Operations on forecasting and flow of goods.
- Ad hoc reporting, analytics, and recommendations
- Maintain Clean working Environment inside and outside receiving area. Including but not limited to :
- Sweeping
- Dispensing of trash
- Cleaning isles of debris
- Cleaning trailer / containers, free of debris
- Stacking / unstacking pallets to avoid trip hazards
