Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the grounds of our facilities, ensuring a safe and aesthetically pleasing environment. This role involves a variety of tasks related to landscaping, lawn care, and general maintenance, requiring both technical skills and a passion for outdoor work.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular maintenance on landscapes, including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Care for trees and shrubs through pruning, watering, and fertilization.
- Execute snow plowing and removal during winter months to ensure safe access to facilities.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various maintenance tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of groundskeeping equipment and tools.
- Assist in the installation of new landscape features as needed.
- Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, reporting any issues that require attention.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with lawn care techniques, including mowing and fertilization practices.
- Knowledge of tree care practices is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions.
