Job Title: Early Childhood Educator
The Greenzaid Early Childhood Center, located in the heart of Potomac, Maryland, is a Reggio-inspired, play-based emergent secular and Jewish curriculum school set in a beautiful wooded environment.
We are seeking an experienced, creative, and nurturing educator for the 2025-2026 school year. Our school is comprised of experienced, loving teachers who work collaboratively to promote the best outcomes for our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- To believe young children are naturally curious, capable, and creative.
- To have previous experience (minimum two years) teaching in an early childhood setting.
- To hold a degree (associates, bachelors or masters) in Early Childhood Education or a related field and hold the necessary MSDE certification.
- To have excellent writing and communication skills.
- To have background knowledge of Reggio Emilia preferred.
- To know about Jewish traditions and holidays.
- To collaborate with teachers to develop an engaging environment, explorations, and an imaginative curriculum.
- To appreciate being a part of an innovative community, sharing and learning from other professionals.
- To be able to be an active participant in the care and safety of young children, including lifting and attending to their personal care.
Working Hours: 9:00 am – 1:15 pm Monday-Friday, as well as opportunities for our summer program employment and school year aftercare and enrichment. Participation in staff meetings, training, and school events at other times are also required.
