The Executive Director at Greer Community Ministries is responsible for the leadership to ensure the organization's success in serving the elderly, disabled, and disadvantaged populations in the greater Greer community. This position will oversee all aspects of the organization's operations, including resource development, fiscal management, program development, staff management, and community relations. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors and is expected to work collaboratively to deliver the organizational objectives.
Objectives:
v Leadership: Work with the Board to develop and implement the organization's strategic plan, align staff and volunteers with the mission and values, and provide overall direction and guidance to achieve organizational goals.
v Resource Development: Secure financial resources through fundraising, grants, and donations to support the organization's programs and services.
v Fiscal Management: Oversee the organization's budget and financial reporting, ensuring appropriate and efficient use of funds.
v Program Development and Management: Ensure that the organization's programs meet community needs, are effective and efficient, and identify opportunities for new programs or services
v Staff Management: Hire and manage staff, provide training and support, and ensure a positive and inclusive work environment.
v Board Relations: Work closely with the Board of Directors to achieve strategic goals, provide regular financial and programmatic reports, and maintain strong communication and collaboration.
v Community Relations: Represent the organization to the community, build relationships with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders, and promote the organization's mission and values.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
v Lead staff and volunteers in providing caring, respectful assistance to every client served
v Provide effective leadership and communication training among staff to ensure strong morale and culture
v Represent Greer Community Ministries in the community and maintain/develop key relationships with donors and event sponsors. Encourage and conduct weekly tours of Greer Community Ministries with potential donors, clients, volunteers, local business and faith community leaders.
v Work closely with the Communications & Public Relations Coordinator and event committees to plan and execute events that meet or exceed financial goals; oversee all events and fundraisers
v Interview, hire, train, and manage staff; evaluate performance annually in conjunction with the Director of Operations
v Responsible for maintaining positive public relations and actively working to raise funds.
v Implement and administer church, business, civic groups, and individual giving campaigns
v Provide monthly operations and directors report to the Board. Keep Board informed of issues and concerns related to finances, operations, staffing and general management
v Provide the Board with a proposed fiscal year budget at the May Board meeting. Responsible for adhering to approved budget and reporting variances each month
v Actively seek and apply for appropriate grant opportunities
v Work directly with appropriate team members to establish and support strategy for growth of programs and events
v Assist wherever needed to ensure effective execution of Greer Community Ministries mission
Minimum Requirements/Performance Standards
v Bachelor’s degree in business management or related area; or 5 year’s experience in a non-profit management position.
v Prior operations and financial management experience preferred
v Experience with fundraising, grant writing, and budgeting preferred
v Strong written and verbal communications skills required
v Excellent interpersonal skills required

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
