Responsibilities
- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and dining area to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor the progress of food preparation and communicate with cooks regarding order status.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to specifications and meet presentation standards before serving.
- Assist in food handling and preparation as needed, including bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to optimize workflow and enhance overall efficiency during peak hours.
- Maintain organization in the kitchen by keeping workstations clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred, particularly in roles such as cook or food preparation.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise between kitchen staff and servers.
