Green Street LLC is seeking a full time experienced Extraction Technician to assist with all extraction operations.
Job Description
The Extraction Technician is responsible for all operations in the manufacturing lab where the company produces marijuana infused products including: product extractions, research and development, as well as factory settings for packaging of product for distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing equipment and plant materials for extraction
- Operating highly sophisticated extraction equipment
- Processing concentrates and extracts
- Cleaning and maintenance of extraction equipment and laboratory facility
- Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked
- Up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability
- Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks.
- Maintains glassware by picking-up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing.
- Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock and verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions.
- Documents information by maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Resolves problems by examining and evaluating data; selecting corrective steps.
- Completes projects by assisting processors; attending and participating in meetings.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Enhances laboratory and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Prepares customer orders by fulfilling shipment requirements including the packaging
- Ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately.
- Ability to interpret, understand, and comply with complex statutes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and laws.
- Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures.
- Must have strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, data base management, METRC, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Required Skills and Competencies
- 1-2 years’ experience in a lab setting preferred
- Experience and understanding of the variety of tasks required in working in a lab setting.
- Must possess and maintain a Support Employee badge from the Colorado Department of Marijuana Enforcement (MED).
- Ability to work independently, manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- ETS CERTIFIED IS A PLUS
- Must be able to work with others in a collaborative environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
