Greg Hubler Buick-GMC in Marion Indiana is continuing to grow and we are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable and honest Service Advisor to join our service team.
As an Automotive Service Advisor, you’ll be the liaison between customer and technician and responsible for communicating with customers to understand their maintenance needs, relaying their needs to their designated technicians, and ensuring quality maintenance on vehicles. The Service Advisor will be responsible for assisting customers with various requests in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Provide exceptional guest service
* Exhibit our core values in all interactions with guests and team members
* Meet or exceed advisor metrics each month
* Greet the guest at their vehicle
* Advise guest on necessary and suggested service
* Establish long term positive relationship with guest
* Support and motivate the quick lane techs
* Quote and write service requests and process paperwork
* Utilize Service Lane Tools (Dealertrack/X-Time/Dealerops)
* Preform a vehicle walk around with the guest, looking for obvious damage, lighting
concerns, tire wear and windshield wiper wear.
* Obtain guest and vehicle information accurately and enter into the DMS (name,
phone, email, address, vin and mileage)
* Determine and recommend(sell) needed maintenance based on age, mileage, and
vehicle history
* Establish the best form of communication to reach the guest and establish follow-up
plans.
* Obtain guest signature for initial approvals and permissions
* Prepare complete and accurate estimates for the guest based on technician
recommendations, part prices, labor cost, supplies and taxes
* Monitor the progress of guest vehicles in the shop and update the guest throughout
the day via email, text or phone
* Establish long term relationship with guest
* Verify final invoices and reviews all charges with guest (active delivery)
* Ensure quality guest surveys to the manufacturer
* Communicate MPI (multi point inspection) with guest in ¼ time
* Provide alternate payment plan options to guest when necessary
* Use rim technique when presenting recommendations
Job Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
* A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
* Basic MS Office knowledge and computer software proficiency
* Willingness to work extended hours as necessary
* Self-driven; motivated to continuously learn and achieve results
* Maintain a positive attitude, professional appearance, and friendly manner
*Advisor experience in a dealership is preferred, but not required
