Payroll/HR Specialist

Gregg Young Automotive Group is searching for a Payroll / Human Resources Specialist to join our TEAM at our corporate office located in Elkhorn, NE. This person must possess a keen attention to detail, high mathematical proficiency, experience in general ledger and accounting, great communication skills, time management, legal compliance, and quick problem solving. If you like numbers and spreadsheets - this is the position for you!!

Payroll / Human Resources Specialist Requirements:

• processing and managing semi-monthly payroll, deductions, and tax compliance
• support the payroll team in compliance with state and federal payroll regulations and company policies
• execute employee terminations and records
• manage time and attendance records and assist with leave requests
• input and update human resources data and generate reports
• input, verify, and reconcile payroll data for accuracy
• reconcile and prepare payroll reports, summaries, and statements as needed
• respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll related matters
• assist in maintaining employee records and files, ensuring data integrity, and confidentiality
• must be able to work independently, with a high degree of professionalism
• strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail to perform tasks accurately
• excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• proficiency in MS 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
• at least 2 years accounting experience

Payroll / Human Resources Specialist Employment Package:

• Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
• $20 - $24/hour - commensurate with experience
• 80 hours paid time off within your first year and paid holidays
