Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing/Financial Coordinator to join our busy orthodontic practice. In this role, you will manage patient billing, insurance claims, and financial recordkeeping. Your responsibilities will include verifying insurance benefits, processing claims, tracking payments, and addressing patient inquiries related to billing and payment issues. You will also assist with financial reporting and ensure accurate, timely updates to patient accounts. The ideal candidate will have basic accounting skills, strong communication skills, a solid understanding of insurance processing, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while providing exceptional service to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and process insurance claims and payments.
- Track patient accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing inquiries.
- Generate and send billing statements to patients.
- Assist with financial reporting and practice budget management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account records.
Qualifications:
- Experience in medical or dental billing, preferably in an orthodontic setting.
- Knowledge of dental insurance and coding.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with patients and insurance companies.
- Proficiency in practice management software (experience with Ortho2 or similar is a plus).
