Environmental Service Director

Gregory Ridge Health Care Center is looking for an energetic, results orientated team leader with superior interpersonal and communication skills to take charge of the Environmental Service Department. Successful candidate must be a team player and lead by example in how to create and function in a team environment. This hands-on position will involve the following:

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Housekeeping and Laundry workers – checking and ensuring quality and accuracy to predetermined policies.
• Supervise work schedules and assignments to ensure sufficient staff to deliver quality services. Assist with departmental work as needed to ensure consistent operation of the department 7 days a week.
• Enforce departmental policies and procedures; make disciplinary recommendations.
• Train employees in the use of cleaning supplies and equipment and submit reports and/or suggestions regarding their effectiveness and economy.
• Supervise the distribution of supplies, linen, personal laundry and equipment, monitor usage, and maintain levels needed for daily operations.
• Visit residents and staff to gather feedback on service quality. Collect quality improvement data and otherwise participate in quality improvement activities.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance with OSHA standards.
• Deal courteously and tactfully with others. Assist and cooperate with employees, supervisors, other departments and the public. Promote the reputation of Gregory Ridge Health Care, LLC.
• Deal courteously with residents, maintaining dignity and respect during each and every interaction.

Requirements:

· Experience in Environmental Services.

· Supervisory experience.

· The demonstrated ability to communicate well both written and verbally with all levels of staff is required.

· Qualified candidate will have the ability to build, foster, and maintain positive working relationships

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
