Greiner Packaging is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated IML (In-Mold Labeling) Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting Engel and Demag machines, proficient in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and committed to maintaining high-quality production standards while minimizing waste.
Key Responsibilities:
MES Operation: Efficiently operate the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to monitor production metrics, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting for optimal workflow management.
Machine Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with Engel and Demag machines promptly, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to minimize downtime and maintain consistent production output.
Quality Assurance: Conduct routine quality checks throughout the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards, documenting results and addressing discrepancies immediately.
Data Recording: Maintain detailed records of production data, including waste and scrap metrics, to support continuous improvement and enhance operational efficiency.
Waste Minimization: Implement strategies to reduce waste and scrap during the production process, contributing to sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
Overtime Availability: Be available to work overtime as needed to meet production demands, demonstrating flexibility to support operational needs.
Training & Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in IML and equipment operation.
Break Coverage: Provide production coverage during team members' breaks to ensure uninterrupted production flow and consistent operational goals.
Support Leadership: Assist Shift Leads and Technology Specialists with daily operations, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives.
Operator Training: Facilitate training for new and existing operators on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safe machine operation.
SOP Compliance: Follow all established SOPs to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency in all job functions.
Machine Operation: Operate Engel and Demag machines at the specified speed, ensuring optimal production rates while adhering to quality requirements.
Changeover Preparation: Prepare machines and materials for scheduled changeovers to ensure smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
Downtime Reduction: Participate in identifying and addressing root causes of downtime, implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency.
Housekeeping & 5S: Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas according to 5S principles, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.
Component Cleaning: Clean machine components during changeovers and perform daily and weekly cleanings to ensure optimal machine performance.
Extrusion Understanding: Have a basic understanding of the extrusion process to assist in production and troubleshooting.
Multi-Machine Operation: Operate multiple injection and IML machines simultaneously to ensure efficient production across all lines.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or degree preferred).
Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with Engel and Demag machines and IML processes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Pay: $21.04 - $24.00 per hour
