Contacts Inside: Daily: Accounting, Purchasing, Warehouse, Drivers, Inside Sales, and Inventory Control Technician. Monthly: Accounting Auditors

PURPOSE

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of inventory.
• Manage employees in the small parcel warehouse and inventory control department.
• Oversee and confirm daily cycle counts.
• Design and implement inventory control procedures.
• Provide leadership in inventory control and determine how the warehouse can manage inventory efficiently.
• Research any inventory discrepancies to determine origin of issue and corrective measures needed, if any.
• Ensure bin location accuracy within CSD and TWL (operating software) on all material received and put away.
• Help establish best practices for Gresco’s shipping and receiving policies.
• Follow Gresco’s policy and procedures to ensure a timely response to our customers.
• Process returns and credits from vendors/customers daily.
• Request return authorization from vendors on materials.
• Incorporate a detailed file system to preserve documentation of credits and returns.
• Reintroduce material into stock and ensure proper bin location daily.
• Responsible for managing UPS and FedEx shipping/receiving in the small parcel warehouse and core warehouse.
• Responsible for implementation of barcoding and warehouse management software.
• Ensure that damaged transformers are properly handled.
• Ensure all field scrap items are disposed of immediately.

NATURE AND SCOPE

A considerable amount of time is spent focused on the small parcel warehouse and managing it. Work daily with IT to ensure TWL and eCommerce shipments are successful. Also equally focus on inventory cycle counts and discrepancies. Must be able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of warehouse experience with 2 years of inventory control experience
• Basic computer knowledge
• Outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership abilities
• Some accounting skills necessary

PREFERRED

• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior supervisory experience
• At least 12 months experience in Microsoft Word and Excel

WORKING CONDITIONS

Exposure to the elements of working outside. Work requires sitting 30% of the time and making several trips into the main office daily. 70% of the time will involve material assessment and investigation.

Typical warehousing environment: exposure to rain, cold, and extreme heat. Essential functions require lifting, carrying, walking, and standing for prolonged periods of time. Physical agility to lift required weight, lift horizontally and vertically, bend and stoop. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Lifting heavier material would require assistance from another employee. Must be able to work at elevated heights with fall protection equipment. Ability to safely operate required warehouse equipment.
