ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS
Reports To: Tool and Safety Solutions Manager
Reporting Jobs: None
Contacts Inside: Accounting department (billing and/or pricing discrepancies). Warehouse personnel (quantity discrepancy, purchase order problems, receiving problems. Purchasing department. Projects/Training Assistant (spreadsheets, inventory updates, consign stock reports)
Contacts Outside: Vendor representatives (with prices, deliveries, specifications, new products). Customers (securing new orders, helping with problems or complaints-billing, delivery, or backorders). Contacts made in person, by phone, internet access (e-mail) and fax
PURPOSE
Role and Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Gresco inventory, represent product lines and services.
- Pursue opportunities to increase sales and gross margins.
- Assist with all office operations and functions as required.
- Attend training schools as required to further develop skills and product knowledge.
- Assist with entering customer tool repair orders.
- Assist with tool repair quoting RFQs as needed.
- Assist with pricing increases for tool repair contract items – assist Tool and Safety Solutions Manager as needed.
- Assist with handling material shipping discrepancies.
- Help expedite open past due orders & backorders with manufacturing.
- Keep track of account status and help assist in resolving any past due invoice issues.
- Responsible for escalating any complex issues to appropriate Account Manager for resolution.
- Repair tools and manufacturer custom items as needed.
- Assist with maintaining supply chain of parts for tool repair facility.
- Assist Logistics with tool solutions service and repair.
- Help customers diagnose problems.
- Maintain certifications and all OSHA regulations for repair center.
- Diagnose, quote, and repair battery and hydraulic tools.
- Build and test protective grounds and mechanical jumpers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum required job-related knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of electronics and mechanics
- Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong math skills and effective communication skills
- Strong time management skills and customer service
Preferred
- 3-5 years of tool repair experience
- 2 years of college or trade school
- Certifications from key manufacturers for authorized repair (Greenlee, Huskie). Electric and hydraulic
- Key certifications in electrical test equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical warehousing environment: exposure to rain, cold, and extreme heat. Moderate to high levels of stress due to deadlines and last-minute calls. Occasional outside travel as a Gresco representative. High level of accuracy required. Essential functions require lifting, carrying, walking, and standing for prolonged periods of time. Physical agility to lift required weight, lift horizontally and vertically, bend and stoop. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Lifting heavier material would require assistance from another employee. Must be able to work at elevated heights with fall protection equipment. Ability to safely operate required warehouse equipment. Hours of work typically would be 8-hour days with one hour for lunch; working hours may vary due to volume of work. Will be subject to overtime and being on call for the department as required.
