Description :

Regular work hours are 11-5 : 30, Monday through Friday.

Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teacher Purpose :

To cooperate in providing a warm and nurturing, quality early childhood environment in which each child can grow physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially.

Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teacher Requirements :

Preferred CDA, Associates or BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education with a ZS, or closely related field. Completed degree not required. Training provided along with scholarship opportunities.
Experience working in a group care setting
Immunization requirements : MMR, Tdap, Hep B, Varicella, Annual influenza and Covid-19 plus booster

Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teacher Responsibilities :

Teachers work on a team to support children and families through :

Requirements :

A Bachelors or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.

Personnel File is up to date

CPR / First Aid

Current TB Test

Current Physical

Adheres to attendance policies as outlined in the staff handbook.

Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children, co-workers and families

Sensitive to the individual needs of families

Ability to communicate with families effectively

Ability to supervise variety of staff

Knowledge of rules, regulations and standards

Knowledge of child development

Ability to provide appropriate guidance

Ability to seek supervision and use it constructively

Evidence of emotional maturity and stability

Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Evidence of sufficient judgment to handle crisis situations
