Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will analyze and optimize manufacturing and industrial processes to improve efficiency and safety, expand capacity and reduce waste. This role also leads all continuous improvement for the plant.
• Develops, optimizes and improves manufacturing processes to improve product quality and human safety and to reduce costs, minimize waste and increase capacity. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technologies and equipment.
Essential Functions of this Role
• Monitor and analyze process data, identifying trends and applying statistical analysis tools providing the data to other appropriate team members.
• Perform capability studies to identify opportunities for improvement and root cause of inefficiencies.
• Propose, develop and implement solutions for process improvements.
• Serve as a Subject matter expert on the Redzone platform working with production and quality departments to improve accuracy and efficiency in data collection.
Ideal candidates will have the following:
• BS degree
• 3 years of experience as a process engineer in a food or beverage manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies and statistical analysis
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Location: Roanoke, VA
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
