Position Overview: The Hiring/Retention Manager will play a key role in the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of security guard personnel for Grey Dog Security. This position is responsible for managing the end-to-end hiring process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, scheduling and overseeing retention strategies to ensure we maintain a skilled, motivated, and loyal workforce. The ideal candidate will have experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention, with a focus on creating a positive work environment for security professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Hiring:
· Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the security industry.
· Partner with job boards, recruitment agencies, and local employment agencies to source candidates.
· Review applications, conduct phone screenings, and schedule interviews with qualified candidates.
· Ensure all candidates undergo thorough background checks, drug screenings, and required certifications.
· Coordinate and manage the hiring process, including issuing offers and facilitating new hire paperwork.
· Organize and participate in job fairs, recruitment events, and outreach programs to increase visibility and attract diverse applicants.
2. Onboarding:
· Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive proper training and introductions to company policies.
· Conduct orientation sessions, ensuring new employees understand their roles, company culture, and expectations.
· Ensure all new hires are provided with the necessary uniforms, equipment, and materials to perform their job duties.
3. Scheduling:
· Create and maintain employee schedules, ensuring coverage aligns with operational needs.
· Collaborate with employees' direct supervisors to ensure schedules reflect departmental priorities and individual skillsets.
· Communicate schedules to employees and resolve conflicts in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with Operations to align staffing and scheduling with business goals.
4. Retention Strategies:
· Develop and execute employee retention initiatives aimed at reducing turnover and improving job satisfaction.
· Implement reward and recognition programs that motivate and retain employees.
· Conduct regular check-ins with staff to identify concerns and gather feedback on job satisfaction.
· Collaborate with HR and operations to address any issues impacting employee morale or performance.
· Support leadership in creating a positive work environment through team-building activities and communication initiatives.
5. Employee Development:
· Assist in identifying and addressing training and development needs for security personnel.
· Work with supervisors to ensure employees are receiving appropriate on-the-job training and performance evaluations.
· Encourage career growth by supporting promotions from within and creating clear career pathways for employees.
6. Performance Metrics & Reporting:
· Monitor and report on recruitment and retention KPIs (e.g., time-to-hire, turnover rates, employee satisfaction).
· Analyze trends in staffing and retention to recommend improvements or adjustments to policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with HR leadership to ensure alignment with overall company goals and strategies.
7. Compliance & Documentation:
· Ensure all hiring and retention processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
· Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to security services personnel.

Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
· Experience:
o Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, talent management, preferably in the security or related industries.
o Proven track record of successfully sourcing, hiring, and retaining employees in a high-turnover industry.
· Skills:
o Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies and employee retention practices.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
o Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels.
o Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflict.
