About the Job
The Controls Engineer role involves leading controls engineering projects, focusing on control system design, programming, and installation. This individual will work closely with process engineers to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop control systems that meet project requirements.
• Create detailed schematics for control system configuration and wiring.
• Oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Collaborate with process engineers to develop control system schemes and equipment lists.
• Design and test control panels and setup instruments and devices.
• Program PLC and HMI systems, and create custom reports.
• Conduct in-house and customer factory acceptance testing.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the control system.
• Provide training to end-users on operating the control system.
• Participate in on-call support for existing customers.
• Lead technical projects, mentoring junior engineers.
Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience.
• 3 years of experience in custom automation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or EPlan, Ignition and/or Wonderware.
• Experience in the food and beverage industry preferred.
Preferred Qualities
• In-depth knowledge of control systems, components, and logic programming.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• US work authorization.
• Ability to travel up to 30%
