About the Role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for on-time, first-pass yield of product to customer at customers’ specification. You will manage all resources to achieve this responsibility and provide the leadership necessary to grow and develop staff for success. This role addresses failures to meet this responsibility and implements remedies within company guidelines to ensure these failures do not repeat. You’ll also be responsible for continually improving processes and removing waste from the production system.


Responsibilities

· Manage and organize production operations to utilize the skills and experience of the workforce to the best advantage

· Create the documentation necessary and comply with quality system standards

· Plan the use of facilities, equipment and personnel to meet current and future manufacturing requirements

· Act as the liaison between management and the workforce to maintain the highest possible level of employee/employer relationships

· Provide leadership to grow and mentor staff and provide recognition, as appropriate

· Expedite, implement and coordinate approved policies and procedures to resolve personnel and manufacturing problems

· Drive on-time delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and support company KPIs

· Delegate responsibility and appropriate authority to staff personnel to achieve maximum efficiency through the proper use of skills, man-hours, machines and equipment

· Instruct and assist personnel and inspect work to ensure compliance with specifications as to dimensions, tolerances and materials

· Use proper safety devices, equipment and methods and maintenance of general housekeeping; maintain a constant awareness of hazardous conditions and practices

· Participate in plant management meetings to assist in planning and make recommendations on matters related to manufacturing

· Analyze manufacturing data and prepare reports, as requested

· Implement general administrative and technical programs, such as communications, staffing and employee training

· Draft and conduct periodic performance reviews in a timely manner

· Perform duties in cross-trained areas as required


Education Experience

Required:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Five years of progressive experience in manufacturing

Desired:

· Four-year degree or equivalent

· Experience with clean room manufacturing

· Supervisory experience

· Ability to communicate clearly by conveying and receiving ideas, information and direction effectively

· Ability to demonstrate adequate job knowledge to deliver a world-class performance
