The Technical Designer will be responsible for providing support to the Product Development and Technical Design department by relaying information to and from overseas, tracking all samples / submits and acting as a liaison between multiple departments within the company.

Technical Design Responsibilities :

  • Support Technical Design Directorto measure and prepare samples before all fit sessions and record comments to ensure final fit, quality and construction meet all standards.
  • Lead live fittings. Take photos in fittings on live models.
  • Attend weekly fittings; provide PD / Technical Design team with sample status updates.
  • Communicate with overseas partners to ensure construction and fit execution.
  • Create and update specs.
  • Prepare technical fit comments from development to production.
  • Work closely with the PD team to ensure calendar adherence.
  • Handle and process drapes passed from Technical Design to be sent to overseas team
  • Maintain and organize sample closet
  • Work on special projects.

Skills / Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills a plus)
  • Working technical knowledge of Browzwear for 3D sampling
  • Understanding of product life cycle (PLM experience a plus)
  • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a “no task is too small” attitude
  • Able to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Analytical with high degree of accuracy
  • Proactive with strong follow-up skills
  • Resourceful problem solver
