Grey Street Consulting, LLC (Grey Street), a leading small business provider of Acquisition operational support services to Federal civilian and defense agencies, is seeking to hire an Acquisition / Logistics Specialist III to support our clients within the Department of Labor, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM).

DOL OASAM is located in NW Washington, DC. In addition, DOL has six regional locations throughout the United States and this position may report in Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL and San Francisco, CA. Candidates need to be agreeable to the possibility of the government returning staff on-site full-time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to Contract Specialists inessentially all areas of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
  • Provide support in technical writing, acquisition planning and strategy, and market research.
  • Ensure compliance with program and administrative regulations.
  • Prepare simplified purchase orders and modifications.
  • Log and track contract quotes, requests for modifications, and reports.
  • Provide assistance with functions supporting the procurement business process.
  • Possess some knowledge of federal procurement regulations and policies.
  • Must be able to quickly grasp procurement terms, methodologies, and processes, prepare BPA files and associated electronic documentation.
  • Must work independently on less complex tasks.
  • Capability of learning additional software that may be required for the position.

Requirements

Job Requirements and Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 24 semester hours in business related coursework, from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of three (3) year of relevant professional experience; may substitute education, training or applicable certification for experience.
  • One year of the required professional experience may be substituted by 12 or more semester hours leading to obtaining or the actual possession of a FAC-C Professional certification.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Software.
  • Excellent writing skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

  • Operate a PC and phone in an office environment.
  • Work in a primarily sedentary position.
  • Perform some bending, light lifting, and carrying of equipment may be required.
  • Any additional office equipment that is required by the position.
