What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cdl driver position at Greyhound?
Job Purpose : Direct supervision of drivers under area of responsibility.
KEY DUTIES
- Daily interaction with the driver workforce.
- Reviews manpower needs and ensures proper coverage.
- Responsible for planning of driver vacations, future books offs and run change assignment.
- Makes sure drivers are properly credentialed to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
- Ensures drivers are reporting to work on time and in complete uniform ready to work.
- Review and collection of DOT logs as well as driver ticket envelopes.
- Works with OSC to ensure operational execution.
- Monitors on time performance on a real time basis.
- Other projects or tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Operations management (1-3 years).
- Safety and Workers Compensation (desired) Labor relations & CBAs (desired).
- Training.
- Interpersonal (required).
- Counseling of employees.
- Hiring Interviews and makes recommendations on driver candidates.
