What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Machine Learning Engineer (Staff Level) position at Greylock?
Summary :
We are eager to connect with experienced Staff and Sr. Staff-level Machine Learning Engineers who have successfully scaled comprehensive AI solutions beyond proof-of-concept projects. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of industry experience, preferably from leading companies and previous startup environments.
We are particularly interested in candidates with at least 1 year of industry experience in Generative AI :
- Expertise in LLM Frameworks : Strong background in working with Large Language Models (LLMs) like OpenAI's GPT series (GPT-3, GPT-4), including model integration, customization, and optimization for diverse applications.
- LLM Fine-Tuning and Transfer Learning : Demonstrated ability to fine-tune LLMs for targeted tasks or industries, utilizing transfer learning techniques to adapt pre-trained models to fulfill specific needs.
- Data Handling Skills : Proficient in managing, processing, and analyzing large datasets with a solid understanding of data preprocessing tools and techniques (e.g., Pandas in Python).
